People’s Award

Submit a Nomination

Any member in good financial standing with a Church that is in good financial standing with the Convention may submit a nomination by following the rules below. Award recipients are selected by vote of the Awards Committee: each committee member reviews the nomination forms and ranks the candidates based on the significance of the accomplishments cited, their relevance to the specific award, and the timeliness of the nomination. Committee members are not eligible for an award during his/her tenure.

Award Rules

1. The nominee must be a current member in good financial standing with a Church that is a member in good financial standing with the Convention, with the sole exception of the President’s Awards which are open to nonmembers.

2. Employees of a company that is a sponsor of the Convention or an award are not eligible to receive any awards. However, a company sponsoring the convention or an event is eligible for a President’s award if selected. Self nomination is not allowed. Deceased persons may be nominated.

3. An individual, church, company or organization can only receive one award in any one year, and is not eligible to receive the same award

4. This form may be submitted via email as a Word document attachment. If you choose send an email with nominee information, please download the nomination form to use for reference. Forms sent via email must be addressed to the Awards Committee Chair, thevbsc@comcast.net or moralhill@comcast.net. If email is not available, you must mail a hard copy of the form and attachments to:

Any additional biographical material in electronic or hard copy attachments must be limited to 3 typed pages. No materials or photographs will be returned.

5. Nominations must be received by April 15, 2026.

6. In the event your nominee is selected, be prepared to forward a high resolution color photo (nominee in business attire) via email within 5 days of notification.

7. Awards will be presented at the People’s Award’s Luncheon at the VBSC’s 159th Annual Session.
